Labor Day falls on the first monday of september. It was first cellebrated on September 5, 1882in New York City. People would cellebrate it for the people who worked hard to make our future better. Peter J. McGuire thought that the workers deserve honor for doing their jobs. No one knows for sure who came up with Labor Day. Many people get labor day off as an reward for doing there jobs.
